In our Puppet and Tales camp we focused on one story over the course of the camp: The Dragon and the Butterfly. Each day, we explored new ways of telling and embodying the same story through different modes of puppetry :we made stick puppets, shadow puppets, and larger than life puppets. Focusing on one story really allowed the kids imagination and creativity to shine through as they become more familiarly with the plot. The kids found a wonderful way of working together playing to each other’s strengths: they took different roles and worked together being alternatively the Narrators, the actors and the puppets. We had a blast!
