Speaking a language, any language! What an amazing and incredible gift! And sharing this language, communicating in it and allowing another to hear, absorb, understand and eventually speak it, that is our true adventure as human being.
We now acknowledge that this ability is not limited to one language, but more than one, especially during early childhood, what an amazing chance to expand ourselves and our identity, as people.
New York city has the most resourceful population of bilingual people, coming from the entire globe.
In the last professional development workshop we shared with 45 preschool teachers of NY, two third were bilingual and 14 languages from the entire world were represented...what a treasure to share with our children !
